Abstract
One of the main problems with SAP implementation in a large industrial enterprise is a preliminary qualitative preparation of data, due to the big nomenclature of materials and a relatively short planned period of work. The most important structural element of the system is master data object – guide of material master record (MMR), which is for enterprise as main source of information about materials and their characteristics. Development and implementation of an automated system to determine the type of material and the expansion of MMR allowed to successfully solve this task to the top of the launch of the SAP system at the enterprise. Automated system was tested on the example of work process teams with 10 test batches of materials which type of material and separate evaluation were previously defined manually in accordance with the current methodology for materials’ estimating to the types and evaluation class taken at the enterprise This solution may be applied at the SAP implementation at other large industrial enterprises to better and more timely production of MMR.
