Abstract

This article is devoted to solving problems during the management of IT projects during their execution, namely, such as the excess of the initial terms of the project and to go beyond your budget. A growing number of high cost of IT projects in the early stages requires an assessment of the possible benefits and losses from the project, depending on the possible scenarios that cause the need for such a monitoring tool for IT projects, which would allow to make an accurate assessment, regardless of experience and length of the project manager. The article deals with existing methods of monitoring the execution of IT projects, the use of which provides project management at the stage of implementation. The algorithm of actions for the use of earned volume for its effective use. Described in detail earned value in relation to the introduction of high-frequency trading algorithms in a private trading company, which is the most efficient in the management of IT projects in this area from the point of view of the author. Shows the testing methods based on indicators earned value, cost, earned value, earned value schedule. In the example of a real IT project backlog identified by the planned deadlines and exceeding the original budget. The recommendations for improving the management of IT projects by introducing the use of earned volume.
